Does it actually work for A & B cups?
Yes. The bra isn't designed to simply add more padding underneath your bust. The center drawstring lets you bring your bust inward and adjust the amount of cleavage you want, making it especially useful if normal push-up bras leave your chest looking separated.
How is this different from a normal push-up bra?
Most push-up bras mainly push from underneath. That can make your bust look fuller without necessarily bringing it closer together. The adjustable center drawstring lets you control the inward lift so you can create a more defined cleavage shape instead of simply adding more padding.
How does the drawstring work?
Put the bra on normally, then gently pull the center strings until you reach the amount of lift and cleavage you want. Tie it in place and adjust your bust inside the cups for your preferred shape. Looser gives you a more natural fit; tighter creates more inward lift.
Will the cups gap if I have a smaller chest?

Will the drawstring show through my clothes?
The adjustment sits at the center of the bra and is designed to stay discreet underneath most everyday tops. Very thin or extremely fitted fabrics may naturally show more texture than thicker clothing.
How should I wash it?
For the longest life, hand wash gently in cold water and air dry. Avoid bleach, high heat and aggressive machine cycles that can wear down the lace, elastic and adjustable center.
